I create from the heart, generating my own guitar designs. The designs are reconfigurations of time-tested models producing a new look and feel.
Since childhood woodworking has been my passion. In 1989, after many years as a woodworking apprentice, I started my own business, New Wing Designs, gaining experience in handcrafting custom furniture and cabinetry. I mastered the intricacies of dove tailing, carving fans and ornate feet, and sand burning inlay pieces for replication furniture. I also enjoyed creating functional contemporary art pieces.
Silversmithing became a natural companion to customized furniture, an understated enhancement to the craftsmanship of fine furniture. I have designed a number of tables incorporating silver inlaid designs.
After several years, I realized that I needed to start thinking about finding something that I could create, using all my loves and skills. So along with my interest in the electronics that make guitars produce sound and my past experiences building electric guitars, I decided that designing and building custom guitars was the new path I would follow.
I spent two years researching, developing and thinking about just what I wanted to bring to the well traveled road of electric guitar making. I believe I have created some of the best looking and sounding guitars to be introduced in recent years. I take great pride in my designs, construction, components and finished feel of my guitars.
