On a distorted channel all three positions are a very full, yet clear, with great sustain. Anjou is a mid to heavy weight guitar.

Mad Cap 's tone ranges from a clean channel, somewhat acoustic jazz hollow body sound, all the way to a great, heavy distortion sound. Perfect for palm muted rhythm to clean distorted, single & double stop play, with a great blues sound, falling between the two. Mad Cap is mid to medium light weight guitar.

Painted Lady 's tone has a bit of everything, but takes some trial & error to learn to dial in. Once mastered, it is a very versatile guitar. The distorted sound is a great 70's rock sound, with very full power chord clarity, as well as single note bite.
On a clean channel, the neck pickup & mid positions are still quite full, with the bridge position being punchy & snappy. The coil cuts for each pickup add more subtle changes to these tones. The Painted Lady is a medium light to medium weight guitar.
